History of C language is interesting to know. Here we are going to discuss a history of the C language. C programming language was developed in 1972 by Dennis Ritchie in the laboratory of AT&T (located in the U.S.A )
Dennis Ritchie is known as the father of C language.
It was developed to overcome the problems of previous language such as B,BCPl,etc.
Initially,C language was developed to be used in UNIX operating system. It inherits many features of previous language such as B,BCPL.

- 2 BCPL. in (1967) by Martin Richard.
- 3 B. In (1970) by Ken Thompson.
- 4 Traditional C. In (1972) by Dennis Ritchie.
- 5 K & R C. In (1978) by Kernighan & Dennis Ritchie
- 6 ANSI C. in (1989) by ANSI committee
- 7 ANSI/ISO C in (1990) by ISO committee.
- 8 C99 in (1999) by standardization committee

How to install Turbo C++
There are many camplilers available for C and C++. You need to download any one. Here, we are going to use Turbo C++ . It will work for both C and C++ .
To install the Turbo C software,you need to follow following steps.
- Download Turbo C++
- Create Turbo directory inside C drive and extract the tc3.zip inside c:\turboc
- Double click on install.exe file
- Click on the tc application file located inside c:\TC\BIN to write the program
